Update Instructions

  1. Enter Forced Boot Mode
    • Hold down the encoder while powering on the device.
    • Release the encoder when the screen briefly turns white and then black.
  2. Download the Latest Firmware
    • Download the most recent firmware from this page.
  3. Check IP configuration
    • Ensure that your computer is configured to the same IP range as the switchGBx device. You can find the IP address set on the device in the Network Settings menu.
  4. Open Green-GO Update Connection
    • Launch Green-GO Update Connection while the device is connected via Ethernet. The switchGBx can not be updated using Green-GO Control.
  5. Select Network Interface
    • Choose the network interface used for the device connection.
    • Close the selection window after making your choice.
  6. Scan for the Device
    • Click Scan to detect the device on the network.
  7. Start the Update
    • Select the detected device and click Update.
    • Locate the downloaded firmware file on your computer and select it. The update will begin immediately.
  8. Verify the Update
    • Once the device reboots into normal operation mode, the update is complete.
    • If the update fails, repeat the steps above.

Reset Instructions

  1. Hold down the encoder while powering on the device.
  2. Release the encoder when the screen turns black after briefly showing a white screen.
  3. While in this boot mode, press and hold the encoder again for 30 seconds. A countdown will appear on the display.
  4. After this, the device will return to its factory defaults and use dynamic network configuration. If there’s no DHCP server present on the network, the device will default to a self-assigned IP-address in the 169.254.x.x range with a 255.255.0.0 subnet mask upon the next restart.
